Planning Update from City of Richmond
City of Richmond Director of Planning and Building, Richard Mitchell will provide an update on key projects and trends in the City of Richmond, as well as a snapshot of how things will be in the future such as:
• Terminal One
• Ferry to San Francisco
• New West Communities (Quarry Project)
• And many others!
Mr. Mitchell was appointed by City Manager Bill Lindsay to his position as director in 2005. Prior to that, he worked as a project manager with the Richmond Redevelopment Agency beginning in 1999 and he worked on a number of projects principally in the Marina Bay area. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Urban Design from Harvard University and a Master’s Degree in Planning and Development Studies from the University of Southern California. He also once taught math and English at Richmond’s Kennedy High School.
