2nd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner – Community Event Nov 22

Glo’s Independent Living, Richmond Rotarian Tiffany Powell, Ya-NEEMA Healing Circle & Supportive Services, and Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church are partnering to host dinner to our beloved unhoused community. Serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal prepared by Sister Chef Rashida Graves Ha’Shidas Mobile Kitchen and Catering! Along with dinner, there will be Community Resources onsite: free hair cuts, free showers, music, games, warm clothing, hygiene bags, and much more.

If you’d like to donate a coat, sweater, gloves, hats or scarves for men, women or children or a hygiene bag, reach out to Tiffany by email.

Volunteers needed for Turkey Distribution, Monday, Nov 21

Monday, November 21st

Betty Geishirt-Cantrell, from RCF Connects, is looking for volunteers to assist with a Turkey Distribution (similar to what we supported last year). There are two shifts available:

12:45-3:00pm | First shift and
3:00-4:30pm | Second shift

LOCATION:
Booker T Anderson Community Center Parking Lot, 960 South 47th Street, Richmond

Please email Don Lau if you are willing to help and which shift or shifts you can support so he can let Betty know who to expect. Let him know if you have any questions.
