Rotarian Don Lau stopped by Easter Hill United Methodist Church to drop off a check from Richmond Rotary to Pastor Dale Witherspoon to support this summer’s Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School.
The request sponsored by Rotarian Ruthie Abelson Olivas will support the educational program that will operate from June 16-July 25 supervised by Kia Walton , Executive Director. Look forward to visiting the program while it is in session this summer.

Richmond Rotary was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor for the 18th Annual International Women’s Day Sisters in Solidarity Celebration on Saturday March 8th. At Greater Richmond Interfaith Program’s (GRIP) Sunset and Sip event on Thursday, February 27th, Richmond Rotary presented a check to Rotarian and Executive Director Ralph Payton to cover the cost of garden beds, soil, seeds, started plants and educational materials to establish a garden at the GRIP shelter.
The project, initiated by Richmond Rotarian and GRIP Board member Ruthie Abelson Olivas includes a partnership with Biancoverde at Hotel Mac and Plant to Plate. Looking forward to seeing their garden grow!!
