Richmond Rotary was proud to provide support to the West Coast Chess Alliance for the 5th Richmond Chess Festival on Saturday 10/12.
T C “The Black Knight” Ball thanked Don Lau and Rotary and sent the following: “Encouraging adults to engage a local youth in a game of chess. One of the hidden treasures of the game of chess is that it is a multigenerational, mentally stimulating game that enhances diversity and bringing people together.”

An update on what we’ve accomplished since our last presentation last year, including a shipment of school materials and computers to Tanzanian schools and preparations for our 6th container of books and school supplies to South African schools since 2016 and ways people in the community can get involved.

Please join us at La Strada in San Pablo for a delicious dinner and drinks event, the Tequila Tasting Fundraiser, benefiting students at CCC on Thursday, October 10, from 6-8 PM as we continue to celebrate Contra Costa College’s 75th anniversary.

Sip on some of the finest tequilas (or wine if you’d prefer) paired with delicious food offerings.
Tickets are $75, with most of that donation going to support students.
