On April 30th, Richmond Rotarians got to spend an afternoon observing the 3rd grade after school Book Club that we sponsor with Orinda Rotary Club.

Thanks to Ken Jew of Orinda and Erle Brown of Richmond for starting the program. This is the fourth year of the 10 week program and this year they read 4 different versions of the Cinderella story (Mexican, French, Egyptian, and Filipino). After reading the stories the students wrote their own Cinderella story. Thanks to Peres Principal Christy Titong Chen and the three 3rd grade teachers Cathy Baker, Elizabeth Haynes-Mumford and Kayontaya Pace. Rotarians at Work.
