Our Guatemala Adventure

Grier Graff and his supporting crew will present “Our Guatemala Adventure.” In October 2025, Rotarians from Berkeley and other clubs including Richmond traveled to Guatemala to support the Hospital de la Familia, which focuses on blindness prevention and sight restoration in rural communities. While our team worked on rehabilitating the hospital, other volunteer groups provided cataract and dental surgeries as well as maternal-health training. Afterward, there was the opportunity to explore Guatemala. Grier and crew will recount their adventures through poignant stories and engaging photos.

The West County Salesian Youth Club has served youth in the Richmond and West County community for over 75 years. Founded on the belief that young people thrive when given structure, mentorship, and opportunity, the club has evolved to meet the changing needs of our community. Today, we focus on youth development through sports, mentoring, academic support, and safe daily access for kids and families. Community involvement is critical to our impact. Rotary members can get involved through volunteerism, mentorship, sponsorship, event support, and long-term partnerships that directly invest in local youth and the future of our community.
