District Attorney Diana Becton will provide an overview of the work of the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, highlighting its commitment to both public safety and community trust.

Under her leadership, the office has made measurable progress: violent crime is down 7% and property crime is down 3% according to the California Department of Justice.

DA Becton will discuss how her office not only prosecutes cases but also invests in innovative strategies that prevent crime before it occurs. This includes expanding restorative justice programs that provide alternatives to incarceration, reduce recidivism, and offer healing for victims while holding offenders accountable.
