Richmond CA Rotary Posted on May 2, 2024 by Nakele RechenauerMay 2, 2024

On April 30th, Richmond Rotarians got to spend an afternoon observing the 3rd grade after school Book Club that we sponsor with Orinda Rotary Club.

Thanks to Ken Jew of Orinda and Erle Brown of Richmond for starting the program. This is the fourth year of the 10 week program and this year they read 4 different versions of the Cinderella story (Mexican, French, Egyptian, and Filipino). Thanks to Peres Principal Christy Titong Chen and the three 3rd grade teachers Cathy Baker, Elizabeth Haynes-Mumford and Kayontaya Pace.

The exhibit showcased the incredible artwork created by the talented young artists in our program, as young as 2 years. Seeing their work displayed in a museum setting was a truly moving experience for the families involved.

This exciting showcase is on view from May 18, 2024 – July 27, 2024, highlighting the artistic talents of the young artists nurtured at Children’s Art Studio Richmond.
