Richmond Police and Fire Toy and Food Program Giveaway December 21st. Richmond Rotary was well represented with Chief Bisa French, Brian Hubinger, Michelle Milam, Don Lau, and President Henry Moe!!

Rotary was proud to provide 140 bikes and to volunteer. Rotarians doing some amazing elf work!

Thanks retired Firefighter Rod Woods for getting it started in 1989!

Setting up on Friday afternoon, December 20th for the Richmond Fire and Police Toy and Food Giveaway tomorrow. Richmond Rotary provided 140 bikes. Thanks to Pam Jones for leading the fundraising effort and Alan Baer and Santa Baer for delivering the bikes and Don Lau for helping with setup.

You don’t know what you don’t know. There are so many career fields that our youth don’t know about, or have only heard about in abstract terms. This has an adverse effect on our economy and our communities where too many youth are left behind; going through the motions without forming a vision for themselves. STEAM the Streets’ strives to help cultivate an inclusive STEM/STEAM workforce. We have built a proven model that helps underrepresented youth see themselves in STEM/STEAM careers through engaging media that lifts up BIPOC voices and innovative outreach methods that meet youth where they’re at.

Richmond Fire and Police Toy Program Food Bagging Volunteer Day

🎉🎁✨ A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers! ✨🎁🎉

On December 16th, we witnessed the true spirit of community during our Richmond Fire and Police Toy Program Food Bagging Volunteer Day! Over 50 incredible volunteers came together to pack more than 600 grocery bags filled with love and support for families in need this holiday season. 🥫❤️

Huge shoutout to all the fantastic groups that joined us: ECHS and our local high schools, the Richmond Youth Academy, Chevron, the 23rd Merchants, the Richmond Police Department Community Ambassadors, the Richmond Police Department Chaplains, the Richmond Police Officers Association, the Crime Prevention Program, Contra Costa Services Bureau, Richmond Rotary, and so many others! Your dedication and hard work make a world of difference! 👏💪
